Encora X1 is a wrist-worn mechanical neurostimulation essential tremor prescription device designed for all-day use, with device effects observed within approximately 15 minutes.1
It can be used alongside medication—or when first-line options have failed, weren’t tolerated, or were ruled out. With no electrical contraindications, Encora X1 is also an option for patients with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices.

How It Works
Mechanical Neurostimulation at the Wrist
Encora X1 is designed to aid in the relief of hand tremors during stimulation. It delivers mechanical neurostimulation targeting the median, radial, and ulnar peripheral nerve distributions at the wrist. No electrical current is delivered as part of therapy.
The device offers continuous and pulsed modes, both evaluated in the ULTRE pivotal study.

Evaluated in Clinic and at Home
Encora X1 was evaluated in two studies in adults with essential tremor, assessing tremor-related disability and tolerability.
ULTRE Pivotal Study
Randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled crossover study
Effectiveness analysis: N=43 70–75% of participants · reported improvement70–75% of participants reported improvement in tremor-related disability.
Participants reported at least a one-point improvement by the end of the active mechanical neurostimulation treatment periods, compared with 48% during sham treatment.
Device effects were observed within approximately 15 minutes of use. Across the continuous and pulsed arms, 96% of participants rated the therapy as comfortable all of the time.
90-Day Home Use Study
Single-arm, open-label study conducted in two cohorts
Effectiveness analysis: N=59Improvements in everyday hand activities were observed during stimulation at Day 90.

Disclaimers
In the ULTRE study, 7% of participants (5 of 71) experienced device-related adverse events, including numbness, rash, exacerbation of carpal tunnel symptoms, and buzzing sensation. In the 90-Day Home Use study, 12% of participants (7 of 60) experienced adverse events. All were non-serious and self-resolving.

Assess Patient Fit
Review your patient’s essential tremor symptoms and treatment history to determine whether Encora X1 is appropriate.
Complete the Prescription Packet
Complete the Standard Written Order and the Patient Intake Form. Specify the prescribed hand and provide your patient’s wrist measurement.

Email or fax the completed prescription and required supporting documentation to Encora. The Encora team will handle the order process, and an Encora Patient Advocate will coordinate payment with your patient.

Encora X1 comes with dedicated patient support from Encora.
An Encora Patient Advocate guides your patient through setup and first use, answers device questions, and provides ongoing support as they incorporate Encora X1 into their daily routine.
You guide your patient’s clinical care. Their Encora Patient Advocate helps with the practical side of using the device.

Prescribing Encora X1
Can a Primary Care Physician Prescribe Encora X1?
Yes. A primary care physician who has assessed a patient’s appropriateness for Encora X1 can prescribe the device using the prescription packet.
How Does My Patient Obtain and Pay for Encora X1?
Encora X1 is currently available through the VA and self-pay. Once Encora receives the prescription, an Encora Patient Advocate will coordinate payment with your patient, and the Encora team will arrange delivery.
What Help Is Available With Setup and Use?
Encora X1 comes with a startup guide and detailed Instructions for Use. Patients also have access to an Encora Patient Advocate who can walk them through setup and provide support with ongoing use.
